ABOUT CARSTENSZ

  • Carstenz Pyramid part of Mimika Region, in West Papua Province Republic Of Indonesia
  • Carstenz Pyramid is part of Lorenze National Park and Sudirman Range, and side by side with Grassberg Open pit Freeport Inc.
  • Carstenz Pyramid is lime stone big wall (Less more 600 meter)
  • Carstenz Pyramid condition & Weather is un predictable, it can be 1-3 days raining, snowing, and Cloudy.
  • Base Camp to summit track condition is sand, rock, sliding rock, water slide, and sometimes snow.
  • Summit ridge (4600 M) lime stone.
  • Carstenz Pyramid is Tehnical rock climbing route

 

RESERVATIONS

  • To confirm reservation 50 % of the logistics costs as agreed between us will be paid by bank transfer to designated account in not earlier than 60 days and not later than 30 days prior to the arrival date.
  • The balance 50 % will be paid 15 days before the trip- all receipts / invoices for cash or bank transfers will be prepared on the name clients – all costs and arrangements discussions between us are to remain confidential and under no circumstances to be discussed with third parties.
  • Written confirmation of your reservation will be sent upon receipt your payment.

 

CANCELLATIONS

  • In the event that a climber cancel his/her reservation in 30 days before the trip, will incure 30% cancellation fees from the total amount trip price.
  • Cancellation between 30 days to 15 days before the trip, will incure 50% cancellation fees from the total amount trip price.
  • Cancellation less then 15 days non refunable.

Days  9  : Arrival Carstensz Base Camp ( late afternoon)

Days  12 : Reserve day for summit day due to weather condition

TREKKING COSTS INCLUDE:

  • Hotel accommodation twin sharing on bed as per itinerary. (Timika/Nabire onwards and upon return to Timika/Nabire)
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Base camp for Heli Trip or  Sugapa-Base camp-Sugapa for trekking.
  • All Permit fee.
  • Guides & cooker.
  • Equipment allowance/wages, insurance for Guide & Staff.
  • 15 kgs allowed for personal equipment.
  • All Base Camp food, fuel accommodation for members and staff.
  • 1 Porter per climber during trek in and out of base camp.

COSTS DO NOT INCLUDE:

  • $25 Wire Transfer Fee (If Applicable)
  • International Air travel to/from Timika-Indonesia,
  • Domestic flight Manado –Nabire/Timika-Manado,
  • Alcoholic beverages, laundry, telephone and items of a purely personal nature,
  • Indonesia re-entry visa fee US $25/pax, upon arrival Indonesia.

  • Personal climbing equipment.
  • Evacuation for early departure from the expedition due to sickness or other problems (US $ 12.500 or more)
